| Meeting for Spring 2006 was held May 5, 2006 @ 7pm in the Faculty dining room of NCCC in Sanborn, NY - second floor of G building. Refreshments were served and the meeting began with a short video presentation and then Dr. Phil's welcome. The agenda was as follows: Welcome: Phil Haseley - Dr Phil gave us a brief overview of what we would be discussing. Member introductions - A couple of new faces were seen at our meeting and we all gave a brief introduction of ourselves and how we became interested in the subject. Announcements - Dr. Phil gave us the great news about finalizing Bud Hopkin's and Anna Jamerson's lectures Investigator reports - Ray Ranic gave us an overview of his current investigation which involved a fascinating story of sightings by a state trooper and his brother who had reported incidents independently. Ray would be more than happy to give out a copy of his presentation if anyone is interested. Dr. Phil gave us an overview of his case involving an abductee and his wife that was discussed at the last meeting by him and Bob Galganski, who was unable to attend this meeting. Cup and Saucer Committee - Diane gave a brief talk about the Cup and Saucer's format, what we hope to accomplish and encouraged participation via submissions. Videology - Selections from the Disclosure Project Discussion - UFOs: Nuts and Bolts, Reality or Paranormal Phenomenon. A great discussion was held and a lot of great sources were given for interesting material both by Dr. Phil and Ray Ranic. New Business - Dr. Phil wanted to make sure he brought up joining MUFON and encouraged anyone who has had a sighting or encounter to report it. By reporting the incident, a larger picture of activity can be established. Meeting Overview for the last meeting of 2005 Our first meeting of the Erie and Niagara chapter of MUFON was facilitated by Dr. Phil Haseley and held at the University Conference Center in Amherst where refreshments were served. Dr. Phil gave a brief introduction of himself and Bob Galganski, asked that we introduce ourselves and state briefly what prompted us to attend the meeting. Bob Galganski and Ray Ranic then gave us an overview of their current investigations into a couple of local cases. After a discussion of those cases, we then watched a brief History Channel documentary about �UFO hunters� which was an excellent way to give us an overview of MUFON and other organizations and individuals who are pursuing the quest for evidence of extra-terrestrial life. We wrapped up with a brief overview by Dr. Phil of what we hope to accomplish as a group and a call by Dr. Phil for those interested in the subject to seriously consider joining MUFON and to also consider becoming an investigator. |
