Quarter Pipe Plans
Step 1

Cut out two pieces of MDF or any other wood as shown.  Be sure to use a large scaled compass to ensure smooth transition.
Step 2

Attach braces and slats.  I cut these pieces of wood to 12 1/2".  Use as many slats as you want, the more you add, the stronger it will be.
Step 3

Attach the slats along the transition so you can attach the actual quarter pipe surfacing later.  The top piece is made of MDF and was cut to 13" long (you have to make up for the thickness of the actual quarter pipe pieces as compared to the 12 1/2" slats.  The MDF is 1/4" thick, so the two first pieces total to 1/2" thick).
Step 4

This is a simple view of one of the slats.  As you can see, I have pre-drilled holes into the slates from outside and I used 1" drywall screws to fasten the pieces together.
Step 5

Here you can see how I attached the top MDF platform piece to the quarter pipe.  Screw in a scrap piece of wood to the side and flush with the top of the ramp.  Then, fasten the platform piece to the scrap piece of wood.
Step 6

A finished view of the quarter pipe.  I used illustration board for the surface because it is flexible, but very strong.  Feel free to use other materials such as cardboard, wood veneer, posterboard, or linoleum.  I used duct tape all around to attach it to the 1/4 pipe.  Functionality over cosmetics for me . . .
