NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK (Friday, August 1, 2003):
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CHARITY DINNER TO HELP WAGE WAR ON ALCOHOLISM
It is with great pleasure that Robert Lancaster II, Duke of Wessex, announces
a special fundraising dinner to support various anti-alcoholism charities, through
the auspices of Lancaster International, to be held at the Waldorf-Astoria
hotel in New York City, on Friday, August 29, 2003.
Every cent of the charity event will go to these various charities to help
fight the war against alcoholism, which touches and affects the lives of
millions of individuals across the United States and the world.
The one thousand dollar a plate dinner will feature speakers who are experts
in this field, and provide resources for anyone interested.
Mr. Lancaster hopes this event will go far to help many individuals. "I
know all too well about the effects of alcoholism upon the lives of those
I loved, when I myself struggle at times, and during those many times in
my past as well. This is my attempt to try and help those in the CSWA
and CAL who have or are fighting this battle, which I know we can all win."
The dinner is open to any and every superstar in the CAL and their families.
And naturally, the dinner will be a non-alcohol affair.
