Gun Crazy - Part One
Summary: Someone is running around Sun Hill with a gun - or is he?  Chandler develops a gun fetish - and gets suckered by a journalist.  Jack and Debbie form an unlikely and unholy alliance.  Cullen follows Chandler around - and realises his DCI is scheming with his DS.

While Chandler and Jack and Debbie get more of a focus in this episode Cullen was back in his 'the Super's shadow' mode and lots of fun it was to watch too ;o)   I love seeing them together. I'd really like to know what the respective actors/writers/producers/directors think they are doing. Alex wasn't being exactly sympathetic about the newspaper article -

....but when she gets to on to you and your intimate confession of personal failure and private               grief - in my opinion she goes overboard.

- because he doesn't care or because he knows Chandler well enough to know that he wouldn't be upset, just cross? He certainly trotted along like a good little right-hand man to see the journalist.   I believe the screencap above comes from this ep and is the moment when Alex is left to watch the camera man. I have of course many theories about his lack of sympathy.  The obvious one is that Alex knows that the sob story is just that - a story. That might explain the peculiarity of Chandler being a duty inspector when we know he's been CID.

Later on Alex was obviously expecting/hoping for a bit more sympathy/backup from Chandler over the Meadows-McAllister alliance - he didn't get it though.

Clothing report:  Alex was wearing his palest of yellows shirt and limey-green tie - not a favourite of mine.
