Cullen Campaign Home HUGE SPOILER WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm starting a save Cullen Campaign as it appears that Ged Simmons has been axed from TB. Do I think we'll win? No, probably not, but I think lost causes are still worth fighting for. What I'm suggesting is that anyone who'd like to join in should write to Paul Marquess. Address your letters to: Paul Marquess Executive Producer, The Bill Freemantle Media Bosun House, 1 Deer Park Road, Merton, London SW19 3TL UK That's the best address I've been able to work out anyway - you're welcome to improve on it. I say write NOT e-mail because I think it has a lot more impact. Try to make your letters look as professional as possible on the outside so they are more likely to be opened and not just dismissed as fan stuff - business type envelope, typing if possible, no "Save Cullen" graffitti etc ;O) What do you put in your letter? Again that's up to you but here are some suggestions (largely borrowed from other fandoms) *BE POLITE - really important *Try to be positive - fine to say that you find the new changes hard to get used to but not a good idea to say that you hate the show. ;o) *DON'T mention this or say Avon said I should write or anything - the idea is to make it look spontaneous which is why I'm not posting it on either Forum. Unless they're daft they will figure it out if lots of people do write but we don't have to tell them. *Say that you like Cullen/Ged - mention why, discuss him briefly (no-one is going to read too long a letter, betcha) *Tell him how you feel about Cullen going. *If you can say something nice about the show's new direction then I'd say go for it. All right - why are we doing this? I'd love to believe that they would change their minds but I'm a realist and I do doubt it - still miracles do happen. Realistically what might we achieve? *maybe a last good story or two *maybe a guest appearance one day *letting Paul know how we feel *giving Ged a nice send off because if a few letters do arrive then I'm sure he will hear about it - this would also be a great time to write to him and tell him what a great character we think Cullen is. It might be a nice sop after being dumped by the show. Other suggestions would be to : *e-mail Ged *write to Oz/UK magazines about Cullen *pass this on to anyone you know who might be interested Okay, I think that is it. Thank you for your time - Avon |
