Breadhead
**Breadhead has, upon completion, been named "The Guest".  It is yet to have a public screening.**

Shortly after leaving The Bill Ged Simmon's agent was approached by a student at the
National Film and Television School to see if Ged would be interested in appearing the short film he was producing for his graduation project.  Ged liked the look of the script and agreed.

The 15 minute film, Breadhead, was shot in July, 2002.  This is what Ged had to say about it:

I play the central character - a paranoid, unemployed guy working in his wife's B&B - in a slightly surreal screenplay and I'm really enjoying it.

The short film I did is called 'Breadhead', was directed by a guy called Simon Overton from the National Film and Television School and will get a couple of screenings at the National Film Theatre (on London's South Bank) next February. I don't know if I'll get to see a cut of it before then but I'm looking forward to seeing the finished thing.

The following are some pictures taken during the shoot and reproduced here by the extremely kind permission of the National Film and Television School.  More information and pictures may be found here on their website.

I'll be keeping an eye out for any news of Breadhead being shown anywhere and will try to let you know.
Taking a break during the shooting of Breadhead and no, that isn't a snow-covered Ged (he isn't that tall!) - it's flour.
Cameras rolling...
Thanks to Blackie, who found the site, The National Fim andTelevision School for kindly allowing the Cult of Cullen site to use these images - please remember they remain their property - and to Hazel Arthur of the NFTS for her kind and prompt assistance.
