About us
This group was made along side many others all over the United States and the world to promote the wonderful practice of wearing your child. Many cultures have experienced the many benifits associated with babywearing and I wanted Cullman to have the same opportunity to advance and learn.
A little about me
My name is Elizabeth(Leader and Founder) and I am a stay at home mom/wife to my wonderful son and loving husband. I was born and raised here in Alabama. I went to college at Wallace state where I got my A.S. and also where I met my husband. Shortly after that I went to UAH to get my B.A. in philosophy , but I got homesick and moved back closer to my family. A little less than a year later I married the love of my life and before our first anniversary I gave birth to our son.

I got into babywearing when my son was 2-3 months old after attending my first La Leche meeting , where I had seen some other moms wearing their babies in slings. They had perked my interest so I asked them about it and they directed me to Magic City Slingers(A babywearing group in Birmingham,AL). At the first meeting I went to I was immediately taken in and bitten by the babywearing lovebug! I was hooked! There is no comparison for actually going to a group with a bunch of mothers who have various tastes and experiences in carriers.

My expertise is mainly in Podegis(Korean carriers ) and Mei Tais (Chinese carriers) , although I also have experience with wraps , ringslings, pouches, and conventional baby carriers. I choose to wrap when I am at home because my son loves to be wrapped and he finds it the most comfortable carrier to sleep in. Wraps are great for soothing teething babes!

I hope you find the carrier that suits you and feel free to contact me if you need any help or advice ( and it doesn't have to pertain to just babycarriers! :) )
