The mystery of the Grateful Dead Sticker
The mystery of why I have a Grateful Dead sticker on the back of my Cherokee goes back to my first car.  When I was sixteen my Great Uncle Cliff sold me a 1972 Datsun Pickup.  It wasn't a very nice truck, but it ran like a trooper.  I completely neglected this truck but it always came through.  There was a sticker on the back windshield that I liked.  At the time I didn't know it was a Grateful Dead sticker, I just liked the skull motiff. Later in life I bought a 1970 CJ5 with a V-6 engine.  In the center top of the windshield was a skull with roses sticker.  I later learned that it was Grateful Dead sticker.  While rebuilding my Jeeps engine a year later, I was given a 1975 Opal Manta.  Quite Possibly the ugliest car on the planet. On the rear windshield, you guessed it, was the dancing bears Grateful Dead sticker.  Since every vehichle I have owned seems to come with a Grateful Dead sticker I felt that in order to call this Jeep mine, I needed to put a sticker on her too. The funny thing is I don't even listen to the Grateful Dead.
