Tips for Summer Camp

Sometimes, you just don't know what to expect in EVERY situation. Sometimes, it would be nice, to have a little info
"the inside track" so to speak. Summer Camp is a great
experience, and with the proper help in packing, using
a little common sense, and your time spent will be awesome.
We're gonna talk about sun block, and avoiding the dreaded
surn burn "peel",protecting yourself from the little things
that can ruin even the most perfect day. Every day things that
you probably have right now, that can help you alot when you
are in a sticky situation. So enough with the talk, let's get down to it.

SUNSCREEN:
This may seem obvious to some, but there are always people who think they don't need it.( One friend of mine who shall remain anonymous ..you know who you are..!) Maybe it's the girl who wants to take advantage of the rays and get a perfect tan. Maybe it's the guy too stubborn to think his skin is really burning! More  often than not, you end up looking like a radish shedding your skin..definetely not  gonna attract any extra dancing partners at the camp dance!lol. Or there's the guy who thinks it's weak to slather on sun screen, and ends up looking like a carrot. Point: it is wise
and to your advantage to use the stuff! Some brands actually
condition your skin, and smell yummy! Use at least spf 15, and up to 45 for sensitive areas, depending on your skin type.

Bug Repellent
This is something I have forgotten to do. You've got the water bottle, your sunscreen, sun glasses, but you forget about
the bugs. There are plenty of varieties that don't smell like alcohol, and aren't sticky.( I work at Bath and Body Works, where I happen to know there are some varieties that have yummy smells like: berries and melons) NOTE* if your gonna be in the water,
be sure it has water proof on the label.

First Aid Kit:
At most camps, they always have a camp nurse, but it is
always good to be prepared. It comes in handy, for little
things that can happen at camp..hangnails,scrapes,bug bites, headaches
etc.

Extra deodorant:
This one doesn't need much elaboration!lol..summer camp...hmmm..hot, humid,and physical activity.Nuff said?

Camera:
You may not feel like snapping pictures during all the fun
but you'll love having memories you can look at. Trust Me
Sometimes you'll bring out your camp pictures throughout the
year just for a quick smile!
