With each sunset, darkness rises
Becomes the shadows of the night
Death is wearing human guises
Stepping out to get a bite

She walks alone through unknown streets
Cautious of the passers-by
Night mist swirls around her ankles
She pulls her collar up and tight

A friendly face stands at the crossing
Watching her approach his side
The predator has found the quarry
The two lock eyes and smile wide

The game begins so playfully
The words are chosen with great care
Ears are filled with sweet nothings
They walk as though a coupled pair

In his room the hunger rises
Forms entwined face to face
Teeth plunge in, the blood pours out
Ecstacy in dark embrace

A pale, cold,  body with  a smile
Found by strangers in the park
Nobody can identify
Danger waiting in the dark

She walks again through unknown streets
Cautious of the passers-by
Night mists swirl around her ankles
She pulls her collar up and tight

With each sunset, darkness rises
Becomes the shadows of the night
Death is wearing human guises
She's stepping out to get a bite
