John 5 who's real name is John Lowery joined Marilyn Manson in 1998 replaceing former guitarist Zim Zum. John 5 before entering Manson has had his deal with music already, he's played for Ozzy and David Lee Roth before so he already was know to music artistes. John has played guitar most of his life starting at a young age and he would just get better and better. His time entering Manson couldn't of come at a better time, Manson was about to release his third and most radio friendly albulm Mechanical Animal which just exploded when dopeshow was released. He wouldnt be involved with the albulm exept for being the live guitarist for touring and what not, since he entered the band after the albulm was complete 5 would soon become Manson's most populer guitarist ever and fit in with in no time. 5 would be very involved in the next two releases after Mechanical Animal which are Holywood and The Golden Age Of Grotesque. On track 11 on T.G.A.O.G John 5 would be blind folded for the guitar solo towards the end of the song with a untuned guitar. T.G.A.O.G would be 5's last project with Manson for on 3/30/04 it was confirmed that the band has decided to part ways with John 5. The guitarist is now working on a solo albulm which is due in october of 2004 and fans will always be with him and he will truely be missed. |
