U.S. CLASSIC NEWS

THANKS TO IG GYMNAST ONLINE FOR THIS NEW AND THANKS  ALSO TO DEREK ROARKE FOR THE TRANSCRIPT, THANKS A LOT.CARLOS

VAULT
Dominique began the evening on vault and scored a combined average of 9.287...
She ended up placing 4th in vault.  Each vault was technically sound, except
for a small step on the landings.

BARS
Dominique unveiled a new bars set, scoring a 9.45, even with a tiny step on
the landing.  She has regained her ability to fly on bars with great form!
At this conclusion of her second rotation, Dominique was ranked third behind
Atler and Maloney who were tied for first.

BEAM
Dominique's mount, a punch front onto the beam, which has given her trouble
in the past was landed with a wobble, yet she was able to hang on.  Her
backward tumbling series gave her no problems, yet she did have a fall on her
punch front.  Dominique also performed a 3/4 turn wolf jump which is an 'E'
level skill without a problem.  Her dismount was solid and her technique was
good.  On a personal note, Dominique's dance series has matured without
losing any of it's entertainment value.  Her score, 8.30, was a result of the
punch front fall and a few nervous wobbles.

FLOOR

Unveiling a new floor routine to a Latin beat, Dominique scored a 9.425 from
the judges due to a foot out of bounds after her first tumbling series.  She
stuck her second pass and had a minor error on the third, as she underrotated
the triple twist.  Fans, however, gave this routine a much higher score, with
the loudest cheering of the night - "Dominique, Dominique!!!"

OVERALL

Dominique finished in sixth place while teammates Morgan White and Alyssa
Beckerman finished second and third, respectively.  Dominique earned a 5th
place finish on each event, except beam.   Dominique remarked after the
competition that she was happy with her performances and glad to be back.
"I'm off to a good start, but I know I still have things to work on and
improve."
