Cue-Master "Pro"
Frequently Asked Questions
I already own a Mini-Disc system, will the
Cue-Master "Pro" work with my system?
Possibly, if your system is a Sony. The system
was designed specificaly to work with the
Sony MDS-JE630 system plugging into the PS/2
port in the front of that unit. I have also
been told that it will work with the Sony
MDS-JB930, but I have not been able to test
& confirm this. There is also a infrared
unit for $39.00 at http://www.mujweb.cz/www/HySy/EasyTitle.htm which the manufacturer tells me will alow
the Cue-Master "Pro" to work with
ANY Sony Mini-Disc system with infrared capability.
Onceagain I have not been able to confirm
this.
If I send you my Mini-Disc system can you
get the Cue-Master "Pro" to work
with it, so I don't have to buy the Sony
MDS-JE630 & save some money?
I'm real sorry, but no. If I had to design
this system to work with another Mini-Disc
system & charge you for the research
& development, it would cost you far
more than the money you would save by not
buying the Sony MDS-JE630.
I already own (or want to purchase separately)
the Sony MDS-JE630 system, can I purchase
the Cue-Master "Pro" without the
Mini-Disc system?
Yes, but understand that it will only work
with the Sony MDS-JE630, or MDS-JB930 Mini-Disc
system with a PS/2 jack in the front of the
unit.
Subtract $250.00 from the retail price.
Can I program the Mini-Disc system to play
tracks in a different order than the order
which they were recorded on the disc?
Yes. This function works similar to the programming
of track play order on a CD player.
Does the Cue-Master "Pro" have
the ability to change the volume while a
song is playing?
No. At this time the only volume control
is the Fade In/Out function of button #3
on the Right remote. I am however working
on this feature as I have time. My concept
is to make this an Add-On feature available
separately, so that those not needing volume
control will not have to pay extra fro a
feature they don't need.
Does the Cue-Master "Pro" have
the abilility to program different show sets
from a group of songs on a single disc, and
store these as different shows in memory?
Not really. This can be accomplished by recording
different discs for different show music
sets, or by programming the song play order
prior to a show.
