i am also a volunteer at an animal shelter here in rhode island, although since i moved from Newport to Riverside, i don't get there much. i generally just socialize with the animals. they are a non-profit organization, and they are doing great work. the potter league for animals

i write poetry, and i love to sing.

i am a movie freak! (well, i'm a freak even when i'm not watching movies) i go to the movies as often as possible, which is too often. every time my sister and i go to the movies, it is $26.50, and we go sometimes twice or three times a week. we've seen almost everything that is out there recently.

i'm a big joker, and i love to make people laugh. i put this as one of my interests - does that seem kind of cheesy? kiss my butt. one of my duties in life is to make people laugh... and it comes naturally to me.

i love to drive. i own a 1989 Ford Taurus...i love her. the ride is smooth, and i keep her clean. (until someone, kathy, spills chocolate on the seat on the way to the airport!)
i am a road-tripper, in general. i like to have a trip tik from triple a, but if i were with the right person, and had no responsibilities, i think i could just travel. my friends and i went to montreal, canada twice...those trips were nice... lots of music and laughing, nevermind a few bitter and hostile stares! that's what you get for travelling for 8 hours with friends.

i love music and concerts... (Indigo Girls are my favourite so far, followed closely by the Venus Envy Tour (check out the rose polenzani's page. she's one of the 4 female artists in the VET) and as always, the newport folk festival is always good, except when it POURS and indigo girls don't even mention you were out in the rain for hours! i have also seen (among others) david bowie, nine inch nails, lush, mighty mighty bosstones, ani difranco (5 times), indigo girls (6 times), offspring, tree, high hats, agent orange, mephaskapheles (ick), snoop doggy dogg, L7, helmet (eerr, ick), and too many others.

*Update! Add Patty Griffin to the list! i absolutely like meeting new people. unfortunatley, i sometimes don't like a lot of them, because they just don't click with me. i'm all about comfort. if i can't sit around and lay all over you and feel comfortable, i probably won't think i can hang with you. if that's closed-minded, so be it.
