Care of a Pugs face needs to be done weekly. Just take a soft tissue and clean in the wrinkled areas to prevent infections.Pugs are also susceptible to mites. Almost every dog has them but with Pugs they seem to affect them more. If your pug does have these you will see bald spots. Please consider other methods of clearing this up other than dips. There is something out there called Nu Stock, not only is it much safer for your pug, but you can avoid the high costs of vet bills. It not only clears it up but regrows the fur back quickly. Pugs are natural clowns and love to entertain you. They also crave alot of attention. They will do just about anything to make you laugh. Even if it means wearing a costume to make you happy, they will do it. The more applause and laughter they get, the happier they are.
This is an even tempered breed that exhibits stability, playfullness and dignity with an outgoing disposition.
Keep careful check on their eyes to make sure no problems develope.
Pugs can also get overheated very easily, so they do not make a good outside dog. But with plenty of love and care they will make a great companion. My Pug Coco Kisses loves to be the center of my attention. And she can be very vocal if she does not have that. I have been on the phone and the person I am speaking to will ask what that noise is, its Coco wanting on my lap.
