Coomablue Bola Boy

'Tigger' was born on 27th February 1990 in Coomera, Queensland, Australia. He was bred by Mrs Margaret Hargraves. His sire was Sanbrooke Cattle King and dam was Coomablue Country Queen.

When Tigger came her in 1993 he was a very unruly boy - the first day here he almost pulled me under the wheels of a passing jeep. Since we live on the Duke of Buccleuch's grouse moor surrounded by free-range sheep his desire to chase anything that moved faster than slow walking pace had to be curtailed! Tigger had spent a long time pleasing himself and we did have a battle of wills to persuade him that doing what we wanted was a good idea. However, over the years he has become a much loved member of our household, he is a wonderful guard and Kong-catcher extraordinaire.

Tigger has performed an occasional stud duty for us and believes his purpose in life is to warn us of approaching cars, people, the postwoman, sheep, grouse, rabbits, pieces of paper blown in the wind - he is happy in his work! He is BAER tested and bilaterally hearing - as is his son Cucrodh Eclipse Of The Sun (Reef) and daughter Cucrodh Sunny Side Up (Millie) - and was free of PRA at his last eye test in May 1999.
