I am always looking for more of these cards. I would prefer them in nice condition, but will consider any condition. I will buy or trade for them, especially if they are graded by PSA, GAI, SGC, or BVG. These are not for sale or trade, only display. |

My 4th Santo RC, but my first PSA graded Santo card. It is graded a PSA EX-MT 6. A very nice card. I purchased this one on eBay for $24.75 including S&H charges on June 6, 2005. The best $25.00 I've spent thus far on eBay.
It may only be a PSA 6, but I am working on a complete run from PSA 1 through PSA 10. It is going to be awhile before I manage to get the higher grades (9 and 10), because they are pretty pricey when they do become available. A friend recently told me there are only 2 graded a 10 by PSA. |

My 5th Santo RC, and 2nd PSA graded one. A PSA 7 NM Ron Santo RC. Won on eBay June 15, 2005. Purchase price including S&H $38.52.
Now onto the higher grade and far more expensive examples. |

Well, I got a little side tracked in my wait for a PSA 8. I went and purchased another raw copy, shown to the left. I purchased it June 20, 2005 on eBay for the steep price of $12.00. It appeared real nice in the picture from the auction, and the description made the card sound nice. Unfortunately, the seller decided it would be to his benefit to fail to mention the 2 light creases that are not visible in the scans or in the thick screwdown it came in. Also, unfortunately for me I failed to take it out of the screwdown before leaving a nice positive feedback. I would've definitely negged his ass if I had looked first.
Oh well, it's still another Santo RC, and a huge lesson learned. |

Well, I finally got my PSA 8.
I have been waiting for the right one to come along. I've finally found it. I purchased it August 13, 2005 on eBay for $80.30 including S&H and Ins.
Now, the very expensive and hard to find PSA 9 and PSA 10's are next in line. |

Thanks for checking out my Santo RC collection. I listen to Ron Santo during every Cubs game I am able to listen to on the radio. Though I was not even alive during his playing days, he is still my favorite all time Cubs player. I do hope the Cubs can win it all once before he passes away, and I also hope he gets to be in the Hall of Fame while he can still enjoy it as well. I highly recommend to any baseball fan the movie This Old Cub. It is not only a good movie, all the profit made from the movie goes to a very good cause, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). |
