Webelos I:

Welcome back Webelos!!    I am looking forward to a fun and exciting year of scouting.  This year, we have A LOT to accomplish as we work our way toward the Arrow of Light!  Our den meetings will be on the first and third THURSDAYs of the month from 6:30 to 7:30 at Ballenger Creek Elementary School, starting in October.  If you have not already done so, you will need to purchase your Webelos hat and neckerchief.  Also, this year, your scout can wear the tan shirt (but can remain in the blue shirt).  Patches can be removed from the blue and transferred onto the tan. I will be handing out additional information, or emailing it shortly.

Pack News

We have resurrected the Pack’s website this year.  Although it is work in progress, it contains some valuable information and will be the primary source of information.  The website is located at www.geocities.com/cubscoutpack285. The website will NOT contain personal information, only information pertaining to Pack and Den schedules, important activities, important dates to remember, various Scouting web links and the monthly Newsletters.  The Pack is looking for someone to author/maintain the website, so if you are interested is supporting the Pack with a few hours a MONTH of your time, please see Karl (Cubmaster) tonight or at your earliest convenience.  He can be reached at 301-668-2235.

The Joe Corbi’s pizza fundraiser drive starts tonight (see the flier and/or visit the website).  The drive is from 9/26 until 10/13 when the money is due with a delivery date set for the October Pack Meeting on the 24th.  Awards for the top three sellers!  ALL proceeds go to the Pack which is used to help keep the Pack thriving.  The proceeds are used to purchase the belt loops, patches, books, entertainment and much more.  Without fundraising, the Pack can’t survive!.  So help support your Scout by supporting the Pack!    See Tina Foertschbeck (301-694-0201) if you require additional information.
