PACK 285 FLAG CEREMONY

 

A.    The pack has 3 flags that we use at the pack meetings.  When FACING the cafeteria STAGE, the order of the flags is the following:

 

1.      Pack Flag on the RIGHT side ("by the tiger table")

2.      Maryland Flag in MIDDLE

3.      American Flag on the LEFT side

 

B.     All boys except one (this boy will need to be loud and up front with me) will be in the back of the room with the flags.  Split the boys up evenly among the three flags

 

C.      Assign one parent to each group (flag) in the back of the room to help carry the flag.

 

D.    Then the boy up front (with my help giving him the commands) will say:

 

Ø  Pack Attention (All stand)

 

Ø  Color Guard advance (Boys carry flag from back of room to front, US flag first, then Maryland and Pack)

 

Ø  Color guard post the colors (put flags in holders)

 

Ø  Pack salute (persons in uniform 2 finger salute, persons not hand over heart)

 

Ø  Please join me in the pledge

 

Ø  (after pledge is done) say: "Two"  (lower salute)

 

Ø  Color guard dismissed. (Scouts go back to table)

 

Ø  Pack at ease (all sit)
