Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 15 May, 1962, the only-child of devoutly Jewish parents, David was destined virtually from birth to become an actor. He was originally introduced to show-biz at the tender age of 10 months when He appeared in a television commercial for a local automobile dealership.
As it turned out, David was one of those photogenic children who just happened to have a natural talent for acting. After his' first commercial, he was casted in many other T.V. commercials during his' toddler years. As he grew, offers for larger roles began to pour into his' San Juan-based Talent Agent's Office.
By the age of six David been casted in The Puerto Rican-produced "Telenovela," (Soap Opera,) called "El Corazon de Amor." He appeared in 19 episodes of the serial. Soon came his' second role in a daytime series, "Los Nios y Las Monjas." He appeared in 49 episodes of that 60 Episode Novela. David worked on his' final T.V. drama at the age of ten called "Travesitos." David appeared in all 75 of the episodes of that series.
For many, many years, David held the record in Latin America as The Youngest Child Telenovela Star, doing his' first at the age of six. It wasn't until the year 2000 that his' record was finally broken by the tiny Mexican soap star, Daniela Aedo, who was five when she began her' work on her' first tele-drama, "Carita De Angel." David has no hard-feelings towards little Daniela, in fact he loves her' work and even contacted her to congratulate her and to wish her luck in her' career.
At the age of 12, David moved with his' family to Brooklyn New York and within a couple of years, they relocated to Burbank California.
The from his' his' native Puerto Rico put a brief halt to David's acting career, primarily because of language problems. With exception of a couple of ameteur stage productions performed in the Spanish language, in which David was casted in N.Y., He didn't act for over a year after moving to The U.S.A.
It was clear that not only did the boy need to learn English, but he needed to learn to speak it with an American accent. Studying English, and seeing Voice/Speech Coaches twice per week became the top priority for the young actor. However, "The Brouge Buster Classes" turned out NOT to be as urgent as first thought when producers of a syndicated Spanish-English Language Educational T.V. Production called "Hello Amigos" casted David for the show. David's Spanish-Language skills were utilized in this show as well as his' ever-improving English-language skills.
At the age of 15, David was hired to work at a Spanish language Radio Station as a Disc Jockey. This opened a brand new career path for the adolescent, eventhough he continued acting. The introduction to broadcasting changed the young man's career plans as he decided to become a Broadcaster/Broadcast Journalist as an adult. Thus, besides doing literally hundreds more T.V. and Film appearances, he has also worked as a Dee Jay and Television News Reporter throughout his' adulthood. David attended The University Of Puerto Rico, where he studied Broadcast Journalism and Minored in Meteorology.
David has appeared on film in various U.S. Motion Pictures, including The River, The Bear, The Slugger's Wife, Space Camp , Verne Miller, and Beauty Shop. He has also worked on a number of Television Productions.
