Welfare

The issue of welfare has come up recently with President Bush calling for a reform of the service. While, in my humble opinion, welfare should be totally abolished as well as many other failed social services, reform will certainly help. I say this partly because of the way that the welfare system has been continually abused over the years. Many people raise false welfare cases that get through and give OUR tax money to frauds. Also, the money spent by our country on welfare is commonly misused. Many people who need welfare commonly can’t handle the money as well as they should, for this reason more money should be put into shelters and food banks rather than welfare checks that are often misused. Also, more effort should be put into educating the poor and helping them find jobs.
