It's sad really, but this terrible condition is comounded by liberal attacks. They say, "He was too conservative. The money doesn't belong to the taxpayers, it belongs to the government." That cannot be further from the truth.
What's more, the attacks have taken the form of a movie. CBS's The Reagans was made with the intent to be a smear job. That's exactly what it ended up being. The movie depicted the Reagans as "child beaters and pill poppers" for starters.
Where do liberals get their sense of honor? I'll tell you. They get it from defacing a great President when he can't defend himself.
