Troops land in Haiti
Today, the United States landed troops in Haiti, a small country in the Carribian Sea. This action comes in response to a rebellion against the ruler of that country. But the real purpose of our military presence is not to enforce order, but to merely protect our embassy.

This threat has been ever increasing, seeing as how the rebels just captured the second-largest city in the country. Now they really pose a threat to the ruler.

But the question is: If these rebels are in fact "peace loving," then why would they kill hundreds of innocent people to further their cause. When I say this, I don't mean that I am a dove like all of the hippie, "We shall not be moved," Democrats running for office. I just don't like needless rebellion.
