Shinobi: kick ass game simply said.

Well, lets start off with a history check. Shinobi was a game for the Sega. Shinobi came out for the Genesis, I believe, and was plat formed to many different systems, including the NES. With a major success, Shinobi ventured out with many different games, including Shinobis II and III, and Shadow Dancers I and II. Today Shinobi can be bought for the PS2, under the same name as the original, Shinobi.

Plot
Shinobi for the PS2 is the story of Hotsuma, who has to stop a plot for world domination (very original plotline, isnt it?). To his disposable arsenal, he has his sword that must use the souls of others to keep its energy, and one its out of souls, it starts on Hotsumas life. He can also use shurikens, which are little ninja-throwable-dagger type things, some magic, and some good, old-fashioned ninja techniques. Impressive isnt it? Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that this Shinobi can run the walls, and move faster than the human eye can see.

Graphics

Hmm lets see how the graphics would change from a classic 16 or 32-bit system would compare to the power of the PS2, shall we? Smoothness? Not a problem. Unless youre one of those odd people that would buy a game where the graphics would make a difference in the choice of video game, youve got nothing to worry about.

Gameplay
The gameplay here is sweet. Hotsuma can do most stuff you cant even dream of doing. He runs on walls, moves through the air like its a welcome mat, and shows moves that would make Vince Carter shake in his high tops. He uses magic to dominate opponents, tosses shurikens around like they grew on trees, and his blade is mightier than all others in the land. If you get motion sickness very easily, this game is not for you. The controls are easy to understand after a few minutes of playing.

Replay
The replay on this game isnt very great. But its a wonderful game to go back to when youre bored, or have a need to game. I personally like to play the game a lot, but I can see how this game might get a little boring after a while. I would recommend this game to everyone.
