| Rock The Rink with the king of brawling-hockey in the form of MIDWAY fun. The simulation is nice. You get to make your own team,players,etc. You can buy alot of stadiums and old jerseys, faces, and alot of other stuff. The graphics are the best in years. This is the biggest step up in hockey action since it lept to 3-D. MIDWAY did something that I found stupid. Even though they had the full NHL lisence they just put 3 players (+ a goalie) on ice at ounce. So each team has 6 players that you choose from. It is fun to give players hallarious names and fun stuff like that. The game is a shock. For 20 its also GOOD! Better than Blitz, or anything else from midway recently HITZ nails the hat-trick with yet anouther outstanding year of sports games. | ||||||||||||||

| The franchise mode was a very intresting spin on most hockey games. When you begin the crowd will be wee small. By the time you are messing around in the play-offs your home crowd will be VERY big! Anouther thing about the crowd. Go into replay mode and you can look into the crowd. The details are insane. Also in replay mode look around special levels such as the shark tank. In the shark tank you see sharks swimming around. In the Home Base alien level the crowd is aliens. In one level in greece you can see through the walls into the catacombs. This game is insane in detail. After you score a player from anouther team may knock you down and run away, then a player from your team stumbles after him. The Hockey Shop is great. The practice modes where you can hone your skills are fun. I can't beat them all becuase they are insane but they are fun none the less. This is the first Hockey game where you control the puck when you shoot. You actualy aim. You wouldn't know this unless you play the practice things though. No-wonder The sequal NHL-HITZ 2003 was voted best sports game of 2003! | ||||||||||||||
