my iBook.
This is the story of me and my iBook.
I've been a Windows man for many years, and recently bought my little 12" iBook to learn the Mac OS X.
I never would have imagined that a Mac could be so much fun to learn.
I won't say it's been as "easy" to do things as the Apple commercials lead you to believe...after all, it is still a computer!
The interface and OS itself is very similar to Windows, but has a much more pleasing look. Another way of saying it is: "Things look pretty."
And it sure didn't take long to learn my way around OS X.
Probably my favorite things so far with the iBook are the Applications.
iTunes, iPhoto, Proteus (IM client), Sherlock, and the Dock are all terrific, and very fun to mess with.
It's nice to get away from Windows programs for a while...
As you can see from the pictures above, the iBook itself has very "clean" lines. I thought the 12" screen might be too small for me, but has been just fine. Actually, it fits in my lap better than a 14"...
Well, there will be more to come on this site. I will update it with the new things that I've learned, and how my install experience with the added 256 MB of memory goes.....
Consider this site my new
"iBook Journal" and stay tuned for more.
