ANATOMIC CONCEPTS: ORIGINS AND MEANINGS This work is aimed at students and professionals of medical sciences and other related areas. Analyses how anatomical structures were named by the early surgeons and includes a list of around 700 prefixes and suffixes used in medical sciences.
This text includes descriptions of anatomical, historical and embriological details of the human body, using internationally approved morphological labels as well as the classic nomenclature used by the most influential Frech authors in Latin America. This work is aimed to satisfy the need for a precise and detailed morphological concept. It is useful
for graduates of medical science: physicians, odontologists, nurses, as
well as for students in these fields.
