| Tex Murhpy Boulevard has been on the web since the 20th October, 2000 and most of the Tex fans will know me as a regular poster on the Tex Murphy message board prior to the creation of TMB. Cubase is the name, but my actual name is Mathew Van Rhoon and I live in Sydney, Australia. I first had my experience with Tex in 1995, when my brother came home from a friends place and told me what a great game he had. It was Under a Killing Moon. So I went straight out and bought it. And I have never regretted it. Now I am a permanant Tex Murphy fan and proud of it! I have always looked forward to the next Tex Murphy game and loved it when two more were brought out after my first experience; The pandora Directive and Under a Killing Moon. To me, the Tex Murphy series were the best games I had ever played on computer, or any platform for that matter. But also finding out about two other earlier Tex mysteries just made me more excited; Mean Streets and Martian Memorandum. When I got the internet after a long time of waiting, I saw all the interesting Tex Murphy web pages. TexMurphy.com being my first experience with the Tex Murphy fan elite. And that moved the this and those and here and there, and in no time I had gotten to know many, many other Tex fans, just like me, sharing their love for Tex games over the net. Well, I just had to be a part. Sharing opinions, tips, troubleshooting problems, and general Tex chit chat. It was great! I was finally a part, but something I felt was still missing in my part. I needed something that would really let me express my love of Tex Murphy games. Well, a web site I thought at first, but with so many already existing, why more? Why more............why not more??? Why not just let fly and let many other people know about Tex, and experience what we have experienced! "This is going to be great!" Although I had NO IDEA about HTML and web page development, I set out to acheive and got right on the job. Working on this page also helped me learn more and more about Tex and his adventures. All the info that I read and read about our hero, I loved knowing it all! Not to mention expressing it too! What would I call it? I did not know, so i though. What suits Tex. So many names already taken, I needed an original. I loved using the world "Boulevard". I think it just suited him, a blues, gunshoe, Bogart, bourbon kinda word that just said it all. Well, about a month later, it was here. "TEX MURPHY BOULEVARD"!!! I finally added my bit for Tex and released my own artwork to the poeple. "Come in, enjoy, have fun!", this is my creation, created off one of the best creations of all time! Well, its here, your here now and hopefully enjoying it! I sincerely hope that all existing Tex fans, and all newcomers have liked and still do like my Tex Murphy site, and I wish the best of luck to all of you and Tex in the future! GOOD ON YA TEX! |
