Sometimes things go your way, and sometimes they don't. In the first game of our doubleheader today, henceforth to be referred to as the "unpleasantness," we came out slow, were pretty disorganized, and ended up losing 11-15. We had the lead at points, and twice rallied from 3 point deficits to knot up the score at 8's and 11's. In the end, though, we just weren't able to establish our rhythm, and fell to a less talented Disc-Functional team. Still, we were able to regroup for our second game against Free Range, coming out swinging. Our cup defense actually started to work, our offense started looking a little more crisp, and our team chemistry returned. In the end, we won 11-6 (though we've counted it as a 15-6 win since the other team called a time cap due to other engagements). We definitely need to work on our offense next season, learning how to better make cuts, clear out, and keep the offense moving against a pretty good man defense. Defensively, we're still strong in the cup, but need to work on getting everyone up to speed at the different positions. Anyways, overall, the team's in good shape. In terms of individual effort: Kemp: God bless Kemp and his freakishly long arms... without him, our scores would have been much lower than they ended up being.
