| HI!!!!! My name is Melissa-Trini Alvarado. But everyone calls me Trini. I got a new laptop and i got kinda bored at work one day so i decided to design my own webpage......just to see all the fun stuff i can do with my new computer. BUT anyways I wanted to make a webpage that had all the grrreat memories i have with my sisters and friends.  IF you haven't noticed I am a sister of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc.; I crossed this past spring, May 17th 2:16 a.m. I am the captain of my line, S.U.N.A.O. and i have one GRRREAT line sister, Quetzalkan, she's my anchor. AND I am fortunate enough to have two GRRReat DOPs, Nikura and Benzai.I was brought into this organization by an amazing group of women ( @ GAMMA ALPHA) and i could never thank them enough. ESPECIALLY my mom, Mayana, MY DOPs, and my anchor, QUETZALKAN......so this page is pretty much a dedication to all of those sisters who have influenced me tremendously in this past year. |

| Why i chose SLG, and what I have gained from my experience....... Well i was looking for sisterhood and involvement in the community (school and neighborhood). And SLG had tons of that. As I entered an informational, I felt the presence these women brought and I saw the love they had for eachother and that the sisters had a unique bond. Just the principles alone tell you how great these women are and what they are focused on. Since I've become a sister things have been great!!! it has had a great positive affect on who I am. Prior to my" life as a gamma" i was pretty shy&quiet. & I didn't really open up to others or make the effort to get to know them. I always liked being involved and active in school extracurriculras but was too timid to do it on my own. BUT now i am more outspoken, loud and outgoing. The sisters saw the potential i had and they pushed me to live up to it and exceed it, and they still do!!! They helped me project the confidence i always had. It really has helped me have that extra edge. My drive to succeed * be my best is bigger and stronger then ever. I found the sisterhood I was looking for & i know my sisters love me & will always be there for me. I am proud to be a sister!!! |
