A little about
My self

I was born and raised in the city of Ica, about five hours away from the peruvian capital. As a kid, our entire family moved to puerto san juan de Marcona located in the same state of Ica. I spent my childhood and my teenage years there. And thats also where my passion for music started; getting a guitar as a gift from my dad when i was studying high school is what motivated to pursue this dream.
As soon as i began to master this instrument, i gathered my brother who played the bass and other friends from high school and started the "Grupo 69", which at first, started working locally and then moved around the city of Ica. By the time high school ended, i left the band to enroll myself into military services in the city of Arequipa, where i spent about two years and got to be part of two local groups.
Soon after i moved back to the city of Ica, where little by little i made a name for myself by joining different electronic bands. By this time i was over twenty years old and had already become an empiric musician; The need for musicians in big salsa bands, gave me the opportunity to get into this media and to be part of more popular bands such as "los Diamantes", "Lucho Palacios y su ritmo latino", and the "orquesta de chicho mayo" among others. Similarly to this I also performed criollo music and afro peruvian music with local groups.
By gaining experience in bands, i decided to start my own salsa band in partnership with my friend Daniel Meneses. "Orquesta La Decisiva" was created, which soon after was recognized as one of the best groups in Ica. But later on, my responsibility as a music director forced me to study music. Then, i started working with music arrangements and gained a lot of experience from it. Due to special circumstances within the group made me retire from it. Eventually I started a new band named "La Autentica", being me the only one in charge. Composed by thirteen young musicians, this orchestra turned out to be an authority, working pretty much all over the coast and andes of Peru.
Alternating with bands and groups from other cities and states but due to the Goverment's actions during that time, which caused an unstable economy, i had to leave this orchestra and flew to the capital to pursue a better destiny since i was already married and had the responsability of my most precious treasure which is my daughter Roxana Judith. As soon as i arrived Lima, I signed up for the Police Department, and later on became an assimilated musician. By then i was already in my thirty's and i resided in the capital for about five years, where due to belonging to this peruvian entity and being a new member, it was impossible for me to have an stable job in a orchestra and even less to create my own.
But luckily i could perform as a free musician and work with the most recognized ones in the salsa and tropical field along with the criollo and afro peruvian music. And here i show some proof of it. PHOTOS Later on, a chance of flying to the U.S.A came in 1993. Having to leave behind my family and my beloved country and beginning a new destiny like every other immigrant, having to do all kinds of work for about nine years and at the same time trying to find me a place in the music media. Fortunately in this past six years, i have my daughter with me and i'm living from my passion, which is my guitar and the music; and i hope not to leave it for many more years.
