| (-) Why President Bush sucks: |
|||||||||
| OK, one thing that I can promise to anyone who visits this website is that I will not have political commentary often. Only on extreme occasion or circumstacnes will I offer up my opinion on international or domestic political happenings. This is because I'm politically retarded. I only found out what GOP stood for last week. I laugh when I head the word "caucus" because it sounds dirty. I often exercise my right not to vote because I think most candidates for any office suck. The obvious worst part are all those ads on TV and on the radio during election time. They make you wish you lived in a land where there was no TV or radio and you were caned daily until you passed out. This would be better than having to put up with those god damn ads. Anywho, there has been some topics in the news recently that I just could not believe and so I decided I would offer my opinion. The first and most radically shocking of the bunch deals with the picture above. Now I did not vote for Bush and I did not vote for Gore for that matter, but when Bush got elected I figured that I would give him a clean slate like any man deserves. Then I hear this piece of news gold. He signed a bill to allow snowmobiles to be used for recreational purposes in national parks! The picture speaks a thousand words. It does not take a genious to understand that this is not a good idea. I think he just did it so dumbasses trying to follow in his footsteps would not be hindered by natural protected wildlands as they were on vacation or whatever. "I got an idea daddy, let's go to Yellowstone and ride snowmobiles and see if we can run over any animals that we don't kill with the fumes." I got an idea little Johnny, why don't you go in the backyard and impale yourself on your jungle gym...and while your at it take your dad with you. If you want to follow this story from a more reputable source than me, click on the link below. CNN.com article The next issue that I have a major problem with but I can forsee people disagreeing is the abortion issue. Just shortly after he took up office, one of the first things he did was to cut funding to any international family support agencies that support. This means that it does not matter if they even perform abortions there--if they offer counseling about it, they could lose funding. Yet another move that I think even pro-life people would agree is about as smart as going camping dressed as a deer during hunting season. So, in foreign countries, we will be going back to "coathanger" abortions and that is such a lovely thought. Also there is worry that Bush will appoint a new Supreme Court Justice if one of them retires during his tenure and this will shift the court to perhaps overturn the Roe v. Wade decision. So, there is a link below where you can sign a petition against that if you are interested and also a link for once again, a more reputable source than me on this topic. CNN.com article Website for Roe v. Wade petition I promise that I will curtail as many political commentaries as possible in the future on this website. |
