| I recently got into a fashion argument with a friend of mine. She bought these new boots called Uggs, that are supposed to be all the rage. I exercised my fashion expertise and chose to disagree with her taste. So to settle the argument, I am putting a vote to my readers. Check out the following picture, and give me your honest opinion on these boots, with a 5 being that tthey are aweseome and a 1 being that they are the ugliest boots ever. Imagine them worn with a pair of jeans tucked into them and the fur on the top folded over as that is how they are supposed to be worn according to her. Thank you for your opinion and your help. -- Citizen D |

| Vote - 2 Sometimes I think designers play this game with the public, they make something completely hideous and call it trendy, to see if anyone falls for it. I think evidence for that theory is above. Vote - 1 Comments = Someone in a board room somewhere thought "hey, let's design these god awful boots like the ones you had to wear in the snow as a kid and then tell people they're the hottest thing ever and they must buy them and wear their jeans tucked in like it's the 80s." And then they all laughed an evil laugh. Vote - 4 ok---so not w/ jeans tucked in, but these are quite popular in my neck-o-the woods, and so I've seen better choices made about 'em. They actually look quite cute w/ for instance, nice cotton skirts... but the ones I've seen haven't had visible fur--or thick soles, and they are cuter. Vote - 2 they are acceptable in certain places, like vail and fargo ND Vote - 1 i'm gunna say not unless you're in alaska or russia. but we're in kansas. Vote - 1 my 82 year old grandmother wears these occasionally during the winter months. granted, my aging grandmother also sports the gucci and such but still--these boots, while they are indeed nice and warm, are simply ugly. if you're looking for a pair of winter boots, why not a knee length, stiletto pair? let us remember, functional doesn't always mean fashionable. |
