OK, shit can only piss me off for so long before I have to say something about it. I first noticed the above ribbon on the back of a redneck truck months ago.....and now it is out of control. Here in KC, about 1 in every 3 cars has this ribbon on the back of it, sometimes joined by another red, white, and blue ribbon that says "God Bless Our Troops" or "God Bless America." But those are another post. My issue is with the "Support Our Troops" ribbons. Am I the only one who thinks that this statement is the dumbest fucking thing a person can assert from his or her bumper? If you have a bumper sticker that says "Abortion Is Murder" that at least says something, it makes a statement, a statement that will piss off people who disagree with you. But "Support Our Troops" is fucking dumb, no one disagrees with that. Is there anyone out there who you have heard say "Man, I cannot believe our troops, they are stupid." or "Did you hear what the troops did yesterday? Damn those troops." No! So my question to anyone who has this sticker on his or her car is - What the fuck does this mean? And how do you not support the troops?
So in an effort to help clarify this stance for those who choose to display these stickers, I have made up a few other similar stickers that are a little more to the point, they make a statement that one should be proud to display on his or her truck.
