| Reflections on Iraq | |||||||||||
| We never hear anything from Iraq anymore? What is happening there now or maybe the controlled press just doesnt want us to know. As I reflect on the events, I must say that our men and women performed brilliantly regardless of whether you were for or against the conflict. I thought it was interesting that the original name was Operation: Infinite Crusade but changed to Operation: Iraq Liberation since the acronym O.I.L. would not go well in the media. It is also interesting that we have uncovered weapons and systems from France, Russia and Germany but we have found none of the weapons the US provided to Saddam when he was our friend??? As I look at the world, we dont manufacture much in American any more, our kids dont seem to get as good an education no matter how much money we throw at the problem and now when you call about your credit card you are connected to someone in India. The one thing we are best at is we are # 1 at kicking ass! One of the reasons the conflict went so well is that this is the first time since WWII have been allowed to go into a battle to win and not just contain. Another good side events came from this war. The United Nations is basically worthless! It is pretty apparent that everyone in the UN hates America. Is we did not fund the luxury life of most of the diplomats they would try to kick us out. I think it is time the US got out of the UN and the UN got out of the US. The final thought..could this while conflict be over who is going to control what? If you read 1984 you will remember that the world is divided into three sections. In the past American has had complete financial control of Middle East oil, and most everything else, as all oil was traded using the US dollar as the trading unit. In 1999 Iraq started using the EURO as a trading unit for its oil. Maybe we just wanted to bring these rascals back in line? Will the world be split into three sections based on currency? -- Daddy Don |
