Who Cares About Roy Williams?
You know he wants to suck that mic off
I haven't put up a post of my own in some time so I might be a little rusty, but I gotta get this out. Most of you know that I attend a "KU affiliated school" in Kansas City and so you can imagine the hell that the past NCAA tournament was for me. I had to listen to a bunch of unintelligent people talk about basketball players and games and listen to all the KU grads that I go to school with talk about KU winning is really helping their "bracket." I especially hate those fuckers who the day after the elite 8 game wore shirts that said "KU-Final Four." It made me want to punch them in the groin. But eventually KU choked on the national title and so I got to watch all of them sulk around that day and it was sweet for me. I thought that would be the end of.....I was wrong. On the news from every day after the game, they had reporters at KU asking Roy Williams if he was going to go to UNC or not. Well everyday he had the same response, yet they kept sending those reporters. Then one night I am watching the news and they come on with their "Top Story." It's about Roy fucking Williams! They say that he going to give a press conference at UNC and they will cut to it live when it starts. So they do just that, cutting off another story to go to this press conference for 15 minutes of a 30 minute news broadcast. I couldn't fucking believe it and I start shitting my pants at this point.....this is THE TOP FUCKING STORY?? So I express these laments to my friend Jason who is also watching and he asks "Well what else is a going on..." I respond - "Oh, I don't know, perhaps the fact that WE ARE AT FUCKING WAR AND AMERICANS ARE DYING!!!" Jesus Christ sometimes I feel crazy. Apparently the majority of the KC metro is more interested in where a coach of a basketball team is going to coach than the fact that people are dying. It's like the fucking pope was moving from the Vatican or something. I know that most of you out there that love sports or KU or Roy Williams or whatever are going to vote shitty on this post....well fuck you.....man I hate sports.
