Marilynn Huston

Marilynn Huston is a former interior designer. Her doll career began in 1991 where she and her husband created handcarved, folk art wooden dolls and sold them across the country. Following the wooden dolls she became intensely interested in polymer clay and has pursued that avenue for the last 6 years. Her motto is "Between the world of reality and make believe, I can be found".

She is currently a member and officer in ODACA (Original Doll Artist Council of America and AADA. She studied sculpture at the Elizabeth Ney Conservatory of Sculpture and with several nationally known doll artists. She teaches workshops, lectures and displays her dolls in several galleries. Some of the workshops where she has taught are Dollmakers Fiesta in Austin, Texas, Week of Workshops for AADA, (WOW) in Concord NH, and Mountain Majesty Workshops in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. She has been on the Carol Duvall Show and in many national magazines. She has also won many competition awards in national doll shows.
