Personality

Aya is a very calm, collected person. He doesn�t talk much, but his opinion is always valued (by the other Weiss members, and pretty much everyone he meets) when he does talk. He has a lot of leadership skills and is willing to take charge when needed (which is why he�s the leader). When he cares for someone, he really cares for them (like his sister) and will protect whoever he cares for at all costs. He does loose his temper though (we all remember the second episode when he drops his mission to go after Reiji Takatori), but is also very dedicated and knows what he believes in. He is always sure of himself, and is very strong both physically and mentally. He doesn�t let people get close to him, believing that he is not worthy of anyone�s love (since he�s a �murderer�) and doesn�t like to show his feelings for anyone. Aya is also very independent but stubborn.

History

Before joining Weiss, Aya was a normal person living with his sister (Aya � yup same name). One day, Reiji Takatori ordered the man driving him to �run Aya over�, and he did so, and Aya was critically wounded. She was put in a hospital and fell into a deep coma. Aya (whose real name is Ran) watched his sister get hit by Reiji Toriyama�s car, swore he would avenge his sister, so he took Aya�s name, and wore her earring, saying that he would �be her� until she woke up. Aya then joined Weiss in order to assassinate Reiji Takatori, and he puts that personal mission above all.

Personal Thoughts

I wasn�t a really a fan of Aya for a long time (I kind of thought he was a Heero-Gundam Wing- wannabe) but after I watched deeper into the series (about the part where Omi figures out he�s in the Takatori family), Aya started to grow on me. In that one episode he went from big time jerk to a �misunderstood� person, which I think he is. And even though he was pretty mean to Sakura Tomoe near the end of the series (who could blame him? She�s pretty annoying�) I still think he�s a really cool guy. And he looks pretty cool in his �mission clothes�. :D
