Personality

Omi is a pretty levelheaded person. He usually is calm, and hardly ever looses his temper (though he does get very excited when he thinks his loved ones are in trouble). Because Omi is the youngest member of Weiss, the others (mainly Yohji and Ken) tend to pick on him a bit, but he takes it well and doesnt act poorly at them. He is very clever and always thinks before he leaps, and he is a computer whiz, which is the main reason he is always the one doing research for the group. And because he is so good at researching, in the Gluhen series, he becomes the new Persia (*gasp* yup you heard right). He is always willing to put himself in danger for others (well, actuallyall the Weiss guys would) and he doesnt like to be the cause of other peoples pains (he would rather die then have someone try to save him and get hurt). He is very mature, but is often unsure of himself and always questions his actions. He was pretty ashamed of being a Takatori when he found out who his father was, but became very happy with himself when he realized that he was Omi Tsukiyono and not Mamoru Takatori.

History

Noticed that Omi has two names yet? Well thats because he was once a Takatori (Reiji Takatoris son). When Omi was very young, he was kidnapped and his kidnappers demanded ransom money, but his father refused to pay it (even though he was extremely rich). Omi was extremely hurt by this, and when the kidnappers were going to hurt him, at the last second, he was saved by Persia, and when he got older, he joined Weiss (run by Kritiker and Persia). When Omi learned of who he was (after he had killed his brothers) he was extremely confused as to who he was. And when his fellow Weiss assured him that he was Omi and not Mamoru, he was happy. But later in the series, we find out that Reiji Takatori is not Omis father, but Shuuichi Takatori (aka Persia *gasps again* ) is his actual father, and Reiji knew this and that is why he never paid Omis ransom money, he felt no need to save a child that was not his.

Personal Thoughts

I have to admit; I didnt really like Omi all that much when I first started watching the series. But as it progressed, I found that Omi was becoming more and more likable. He has a great personality and his past was quite depressing. I noticed that Omi tends to get kicked around in the series a lot, but is always trying to help his friends. And even though he is confused about who he really is, I think it was great that he managed to get over that and become Omi Tsukiyono completely. And I have to admit, Omi is so cute! Though 17 isnt that younghe acted like he was older, but his wardrobe definitely screamed that he was young. Out of all of the characters on the showOmi has the mostinterestingclothes. I guess Omi is just one of those characters that grows on you.
