A Little Radical
WHEN DID THE REVOLUTION END?
I remember Jack... Jack Kennedy on a warm Texas day
They came and tok him
                                                                            yeah
they did
The riots on Columbia University's campus
Looooong before Rodney King
                                                                                 Abner Louima
Marching in Washington,
chocolate city
Oh, they took Malcolm too... now the brother's want him back
                                                                                            too late
Do you remember my brother's Huey and Bobby
What they stood for
                                                            went to jail for
I remember I.S. 320, me a jr. Black Panther
And the A&P demonstration in Fort Greene

Boom
We didn't do it... But who
I bet
they know
                                    they
sure do

High School went fast as I remembered Bobby Kennedy...
Remember Martin... and his Dream
                                                                         I had a dream
Marched on D.C. / again... for Black Solidarity
Read the Last Poets... not for the last time / nor the first
But somewhere along the way...
The Revolution died

Nobody told me
When did the revolution end?
did they have to take Diallo?
Please... does anyone know?

They do
