Resale Value
In terms of adding resale value to your home, vinyl siding is one of the best investments you can make. In its annual survey of project cost versus added value, Remodeling magazine said that, "the highest payback comes from projects that give an older home the same features that have become standard in new homes."
Exterior improvements such as the installation of vinyl siding also make a home more attractive on the market. According to a real estate agent interviewed by Remodeling, "Things like new siding and new windows will not add dollar for dollar value...yet, a return of 60% of investment is average and will cause the house to sell quicker for more money."
Another point to keep in mind: if, like many homeowners, you add insulation to an older home at the same time you're having vinyl siding installed, you add even greater value and market appeal to your home.
A Finished
Look
To achieve the finished look of wood craftsmanship, we developed a complete line
of architecturally accurate trim options. A complete design can be achieved by
combining siding styles, colors and decorative trim with an architectural flair.
Whether the goal is to accentuate the lines of a home or simply add interest to
its exterior, no other manufacturer can offer the variety of styles, finishes
and accessories.
Decorative trim includes (1) Crown molding; (2) Corner posts; (3) Corner blocks and Rosettes; (4) Gable trim; and (5) Cornice molding. Use these accessories to highlight windows, doors, corners and gables.
The Impact of
Color
Although color can dramatically affect the overall look of a house, there aren't
any wrong choices. The most important rule to follow when selecting siding
colors is to choose what you like. Here are some other basic color guidelines
that you might want to consider:
If your home has an asymmetrical design with many different sized windows, keep the number of colors to a minimum
Finishes
Siding panels come in different finishes that affect both the look and color of
the siding. Smooth finishes generally feature a painted look with subtle brush
strokes. Woodgrain finishes simulate various degrees of natural wood textures.
AlsideÒ offers the widest selection of siding finishes in the industry, enabling you to create home exteriors with unique looks, beauty and character. Consider these three finishes: (1) Cedar grain finish; (2) Woodgrain finishes; and (3) Smooth finishes.

Potential Additional Services that "may" be needed that “other business’ won’t tell you”
10% Waste (included in price) – this is the area that covers cutouts of doors, windows, extrusions, nails, screw fasteners, caulking. etc. Once a piece of siding is trimmed, it may or may not be useable somewhere else.
Accessories & Trim Extra (included in price) – this is the area that covers corners, soffit, trim, vents, fascia, coil (one of the expensive products), starter strips, house wrap/sheathing.
Tear-Off of Old Lap Siding - if your home has horizontal lap siding, we would need to remove and dispose of it. We all remember growing up as a child, and how we loved to destroy things. Growing “older” is no different, (notice, I didn’t say growing up!), it is just as fun today to destroy things as it was then. This is a service that we charge for but is typically only a small charge compared to the total cost of the siding install, which will be determined at time of estimate.
Additional Rot Repair - on most houses with failing siding, business’ can say they have included rot repair in the price. No ESP here, we cannot determine the rot repair until the old lap siding comes off. We go to great lengths to ensure that there are no surprises once a job is started. So, in short, when it is determined your house has a rot issue, we will show you the problem and with your approval, make any corrections you want. Expect the possibility of some additional services and charges needed to remedy the rot issues.
