The Park
Rutgers Stadium has come a long way in the 20 years since I first laid eyes on it.  The entrance gate used to be simply a chain link fence.  The seats and press level were more suited to a junior college than a major university.  That's not so any longer in this home of Big East football.  While the stadium has improved, the same cannot be said of Rutgers' football program.

The Game
My son and I saw Princeton and Syracuse go to battle on May 27, 2002 in the NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Final.  This was the third straight year that these teams played for the championship.  Syracuse won in 2000, Princeton won in 2001.  Princeton took an early lead, but Syracuse came back to go ahead 12-7.  Princeton closed the gap, but fell short, losing 13-12.  Syracuse's Mike Powell had 4 goals and 3 assists.
