The Park
Now host primarily to the Peninsula Pilots of the Coastal Plain League, a college summer league, War Memorial Stadium is a lovely ballpark in southeastern Virginia. While on vacation in Nags Head, North Carolina in August 2002, I had hoped to catch the league�s championship game that was to be played here. I missed it, but on my way back north stopped in for a look and caught part of a game in a local men�s league. The Outer Banks Daredevils, Nags Head�s CPL entry, ended up winning the championship by beating the Petersburg Generals, 10-6. |
