Cooperstown, NY - Doubleday Field
Doubleday Field is a short walk from the Hall of Fame Museum in Cooperstown, the quaint town in central NY where Abner Doubleday invented our national pastime.  (I know, but do you really think theyll ever move the Hall of Fame to Hoboken?)  This is where they play the annual Hall of Fame game.  When I was there on June 23, 2001, a college summer league was playing there.

I have some neat pictures from inside the Hall of Fame Museum, but I wouldn't want to give anyone an excuse not to go, so I won't post them.

Here are a few more Cooperstown-related pictures:
Statue of General Abner Doubleday, who years after supposedly inventing baseball, was a Civil War hero.  This statue stands in Gettysburg, PA.
Nice logo, nice beer.
