Baltimore, MD - Oriole Park at Camden Yards
The Park
Oriole Park at Camden Yards was one of the first of the many new ballparks that were built in the 1990s.  Its prominent feature is the monstrous brick B&O Warehouse just past the outfield fence in right and center.  Small plaques in the walkway between the stadium and the building mark long home runs.

For more baseball in Baltimore, one can visit Babe Ruths birthplace several blocks away.
That Day
I saw the Orioles play the Detroit Tigers during the last series of the 1995 season with my friend, now living in Northern Virginia, and his daughter.  On September 30, the Os sent the crowd home happy.  They scored 4 in the 2nd on a grand slam by Brady Anderson, added 3 in the 3rd, another 3 in the 5th, and 2 in the 7th.  Orioles starter Ben McDonald had a no-hitter through 5 innings, but gave up 4 walks.  He gave up a hit in the 6th and 2 more walks and was lifted in the 7th for Jimmy Haynes.  Haynes pitched 2 perfect innings.  Jesse Orosco came in for the 9th, and although he gave up the Tigers second hit, protected the Orioles 12-0 lead.
The Orioles Magazine has an ad for milk.  On the left side are the names of the 27 Yankees shortstops since 1982.  On the right side is the name and picture of the one Orioles shortstop since 1982:  Cal Ripken.
View from my seat.
The mascot spent quite a while in our section.
