It appears the following legislation will be enacted:

Sec. 48. Section 20-334d of the general statutes is amended by adding
subsection (do) as follows (Effective from passage):
(NEW) (do) Any plumber who has served an apprenticeship that included at
least seven hundred hours of related classroom instruction shall be exempt

Sec. 49. Section 29-6b of the general statutes is repealed and the following

This is an explanation of the language in the legislative research report.
§ 48 - CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR PLUMBERS
This bill exempts plumbers who have served apprenticeships that included at
least 700 hours of related classroom instruction from continuing education
requirements. By law, the Department of Consumer Protection commissioner
must adopt regulations to establish requirements for accredited continuing
professional education for plumbers. They require plumbers to take at least
three and as much as nine hours of continuing education per year, depending
on the type of license the plumber holds.
EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon passage

Please stay in touch and involved.  We have a great deal of work to do.

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY 4'TH OF JULY
