This years legislative session is over. As you are all aware, Continuing Education for Plumbers was once again brought up for discussion by our elected officials.  Please take the time to thank your local State Senator or Representative.  They went out of their way to insure some action was taken to modify the original bill which most of us agree was simply A BAD LAW. WE WERE UNSUCCESSFUL  HAVING THE LAW REPEALED. However, the new law requires 7 continuing education hours every other year.  The law was proposed as SB 565. I will forward a copy of the exact language shortly.  We were extremely lucky to have our issue heard again this year.  Special thanks are in order to Senator Tom Colapietro and State Representative  Chris Stone (co-chairmen of the GENERAL LAW COMMITTEE) who made sure the issue was once again discussed.  Additionally, all members of the GENERAL LAW COMMITTEE should be thanked.  Indecently, the bill was unanimously approved by the GENERAL LAW COMMITTEE, THE SENATE AND THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.  The bill is on the GOVERNORS desk awaiting her signature.  Please take the time to thank your elected officials.  I will follow up with more information in the near future.  And remember: ITS TIME TO UNITE AND PUT UP A FIGHT.
