This just came in from State Representative Betsy Ritter (Waterford) who has been with us from day 1
and Murray: 

Andrea Stillman just told me that Senator Colapietro will indeed hold a public hearing on the Plumbers issue. The date is apparently going to be March 8th. In discussing the issue with him (he is the Senate Chair of the General Law committee), he indicated the actual bill to be heard would involve some kind of compromise  specifically in the area of a 3-year certification, one 7-hour course for 3 years, no test.

She and Ed have worked hard on this, and I hope an appropriate solution results.
