Dear
Governor Rell,
Apparently
on November 01, 2004 a new law went into effect that now requires
licensed plumbers to attend some sort of class that is between 3
to 9 hours long depending on one type of plumbing license.
I have been a licensed plumber since 1986, as a small business owner being forced to attend a 3 hour class and pay $95.00 to attend this class, overall this will be approximately $365 to $ 500.00 of lost business and the cost of the class. It does not take a math genius to figure out some special interest group has railroaded this law as there are 8,000 licensed plumbers in Connecticut and the minimum cost per individual is $95.00 to as high as $135.00 to attend this class. At a minimum that will equate to $760,000.00 per year that these special interest groups are looking at as income climbing on the backs of us licensed plumbers Annually! I need your help to repeal this law as it is not fair. Please visit www.geocities.com/ctplumbers/ for more about this new law that was pasted without most state plumbers even knowing about it.
Thank
you Ms. Governor and God Bless!
James Cyrul
