I attended the PHCC
convention Sat. accompanied by my son in law and good friend Clint
Helligar.
I enjoy conventions and this one was no different than those I've attended thru the years. I will say the PHCC did a fine job and commend them for their efforts. The PHCC is made up of hard working men and women just like you. We simply have a different philosophy with regard to Continuing Education. If your planning to attend the public hearing on March 10, remember your presentation can only last 3 minutes. Were at a huge disadvantage so choose your words carefully. Be respectful and to the point. There are 2 bills being considered:
Bill #5659 (proposed by Ed Jutila)
AN ACT REMOVING PLUMBERS FROM THE REQUIREMENT OF CONTINUING
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION.
The intent of this bill is to simply remove the requirement from the existing law mandating we attend the CEU'S. I really feel this is the proposal we should get behind. The other bill being proposed suggests no more than 7 hours every 3 years of continuing education.
Bill #5659 (proposed by Ed Jutila)
is being supported by:
Jeff Berger (73 district) Sean Williams (68 district) John Hennessy (127 district) Peter Villano (91 district) Edith Prague (19 district) Paul Davis (117 district) Steven Mikutel (45 district) Elizabeth Ritter (38 district) Christopher S. Murphy (16 district) Andrew WE. Roraback (30 district) Diana Urban (43 district) If your rep is not on this list, call them and ask them to get on board. Call all of the above and thank them for their support. Ed Jutila [email protected] Jeff Berger [email protected]

I will post more details of the
upcoming public hearing in the next few days.
If anyone has any ideas or
suggestions, please E-mail them to me. We need everyone to
pull together, work as a team, stand up and be heard.
REMINDER: PUBLIC HEARING - MARCH 10, 2005, HARTFORD ATTEND AND BRING A FRIEND
